 Janice Laurie (Smallman) trained at The Guildhall School of Music and Drama.

She worked for many years in theatres around Scotland and the north of England and has recorded numerous radio plays for the BBC.

Her TV work includes The Bill and Dangerfield. Janice has also appeared in many plays with The EDT Theatre Company, which included productions in London, Edinburgh, Dubai and Abu Dhabi.

She has been in a huge variety of shows at the Edinburgh Festival; her first one was in 1981!  

Janice also facilitates and directs productions for Summer Schools all over the UK and provides confidence, networking and presentation skills training in the corporate sector.

Janice is a director and co-founder of DramaLab.

Richard Huw / Actor / Director / DramaLab.co.uk

“Actors, rather like athletes, must keep in training to perform their best.”  

Richard Huw trained at The Guildhall School of Music and Drama and has been acting professionally ever since.

He was a member of the BBC radio repertory company and has toured in theatres across the country.

Richard played Peter Pan at Bristol Old Vic and Romeo at the Young Vic in London.

The majority of his work is now in television. He has been a regular in TV series such as Van der Valk, M.I.T. and Silent Witness. Other well known shows include Eastenders, Coronation Street, The Bill, Casualty, Doctors, Heartbeat, Foyle’s War, Holby City and Midsomer Murders.

He appeared in, and was the acting coach for Alex Pettyfer, in the feature film Stormbreaker.

Richard is also a voice-over artist for documentaries and commercials.

He enjoys directing DramaLab workshops whenever his acting commitments allow.

Neil Morrissey / Actor / Patron / DramaLab.co.uk

“From 11 years old I was in every play at school and joined every youth drama group I could. It took over my life. I was obsessed and I still am!”  

Neil Morrissey has been patron to DramaLab.co.uk since 2000 and trained at The Guildhall School of Music and Drama.  He became a household name after playing ‘Rocky’ in Boon and ‘Tony’ in Men Behaving Badly.

Recent TV credits include Me and Mrs. Jones, Line of Duty, Inspector George Gently, Waterloo Road, Carrie and Barry and Skins.

His film credits include Triggerman, The Bounty, The Ballad of Kid Divine, Up ‘N’ Under, The Match and Run for Your Wife.

Theatre work includes Macbeth, Speed the Plow, A Passionate Woman, Guys and Dolls and  ‘Fagan’ in the musical Oliver.

Neil does many voice-overs for documentaries, commercials and children’s animation.
