In the vibrant tapestry of England’s theatrical landscape Janice Laurie stands as a beacon of fun, creativity and theatrical professionalism. A proud graduate of The Guildhall School of Music and Drama she has woven her talents into the very fabric of countless stages from the rugged highlands of Scotland to the bustling theatres all over the North of England. Janice has been a regular presence at the Edinburgh Festival since 1981 where her energy and passion have delighted many theatre lovers. Janice has also taken her artistic flair on the road facilitating and directing productions for Summer Schools all across the UK.

Janice Laurie has graced the theatre stage numerous times with the illustrious EDT Theatre Company’s successful productions in London and Edinburgh as well as the exotic locales of Dubai and Abu Dhabi. Her voice has echoed through the airwaves starring in radio dramas for the BBC while also appearing in popular UK television series such as “The Bill” and “Dangerfield”.

As a co-founder and passionate director of DramaLab.co.uk, which burst onto the scene in the year 2000 like a confetti cannon at a surprise party, Janice is on a mission to ignite fun, enjoyment and passion in both young and adult aspiring actors who aim to maximise their natural acting potential. Her acting classes and drama workshops are not just lessons – they are gateways to confidence, creativity, and team work which equip all her DramaLab students with the tools to shine brighter than a supernova on stage as well as face all aspects of their life with confidence and passion.
